Mounting Instructions

Mounting with no frame

European license plate with holes drilled

To Mount With Screws If you are mounting the plate directly to your bumper, you will need to drill holes to match the holes on your bumper. If the bumper has no holes, the corners of the plate are ideal places to drill.  Our plates do not come with holes and we don't have the capability of drilling them.  We always recommend a mounting frame as the first option.

To Mount With Screws Once the holes are drilled in the plate and bumper, use the screws to install the plate on the bumper. Using the colored screw caps, attach them over the tops of the screws. Eight caps are included when ordered through our website: four white, two black and two blue.

Mounting with 3m dual lock kit

Install 3M Dual Lock for mounting your European license plate

After thoroughly cleaning your bumper, peel the back from one side of the 3M and adhere to the frame or plate (if no frame). Next peel off the back from the other side. Position the frame on the vehicle and press firmly to fully adhere to the bumper. Be sure not to wash the vehicle or remove 3M for 24 hours to maximize hold.  We recommend replacing the Dual Lock every 12-24 months depending on how extreme the weather is in your area.  To remove, we recommend a hair dryer (not a heat gun!) to help soften up the adhesive.

Applying seals and decals

Seals or decals can be applied anywhere on the plate. Conventionally the seals are applied between the first letters. Region seals go on the bottom, green expiration seals goes above it.
